5hdcPOP (5 half double crochet popcorn stitch): Make 5 half double crochets (hdc) in the same stitch/space. Remove your hook from the last hdc and insert it into both loops of the first hdc. Insert your hook back into the loop of the last of the 5 hdc with your hook and pull it through the first hdc. Ch 1 to close the popcorn.

To add a border, sc around the edges and make V stitch (sc x 1, ch 1, sc x 1) in the corners. Fasten off and weave in ends. You may need block the dishcloth afterwards by wetting and affixing to a foam block with pins to shape into a square shape.
