“Platycodon grandiflorus is a species of herbaceous flowering perennial plant of the family Campanulaceae, and the only member of the genus Platycodon. It is native to East Asia. It is commonly known as balloon flower, Chinese bellflower, or platycodon.” Wikipedia, Wikimedia Foundation, 29 July 2019, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Platycodon.

The Platycodon Wanderer evolved from a toxic mixture of nuclear waste, a carnivorous plant yet to be identified, and the Platycodon grandifloras. They arrived suddenly to Earth after an asteroid hit a nuclear power plant near a field of Chinese bellflowers. This alien mutant creature was first observed devouring small rodents, plastics, and glass at a local trash pit. They have since developed a taste for frequenting tabletop gaming events whereby they terrorize attendees by devouring all their beer and eating their dice. Scientists are still trying to determine their origins and researching their biology.
